Place in Jerusalem, Mandatory Palestine Allar ( ) or 'Allar el-Fawqa ("Upper Allar"), also known as 'Allar el Busl, was a Palestinian Arab village located southwest of the Old City of Jerusalem near Wadi Surar ("Valley of Pebbles"), along Wadi Tannur . The name was shared by the twin village of Allar al-Sifla ("Lower Allar") or Khirbat al-Tannur , with official imperial ledgers often listing them both under the single entry of Allar. Habitation in the village spanned centuries and is attested in architectural remains and documents from the Crusader, Mamluk, Ottoman and Mandate Palestine periods. Allar was depopulated during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War and the area was incorporated into the State of Israel , with the moshavs of Mata and Bar Giora established on its former lands. Also gives cause of depopulation.

former Arab villages in Palestine Allar was a Palestinian Arab village in the District of Jerusalem . It was depopulated during the 1948 Palestine War on October 22, 1948 by the Har'el and Etzioni brigades of Operation ha-Har . It was located 17.5 km west of Jerusalem , overlooked a tributary of the Wadi al-Sarar. During the 1948 war, the village was defended by local militia and the Egyptian Army / Muslim Brotherhood Battalion. In 1945, the village had a population of 440. A shrine dedicated to al-Shaykh Ibrahim is still standing and Khirbat al-Shaykh Ibrahim is in the area.
