Chananel Ben Chushiel ( 990 - 1053 ) was a Rabbi , talmudist and one of the last Geonim .1 He is best known for his commentary on the Talmud . Chananel is often refered to as Rabbeinu Chananel - Hebrew for "our rabbi, Chananel".2
