Army unit postal codes start with a 0 and are not changed even if a unit is roaming. In March 2012 the Israel Post service announced that it will move to a seven-digit postal code from 5 December 2012, although this date was subsequently put back to 1 February 2013. Changes to specific postal codes may be searched on Israel Post's website. Starting on February 2013 the Israel postcodes change from 5 to 7-digit. The 5-Digit codes will be valid until 31.2
