The attack on the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires was a suicide bombing attack on the building of the Israeli embassy of Argentina, located in Buenos Aires, which was carried out on 17 March 1992. 29 civilians were killed in the attack and 242 additional civilians were injured.

The Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires was bombed in 1992, killing 29 civilians and injuring 242 more. Through 2005 the opening explained the attack came after Israel killed Hezbollah's leader, calling him "the leader of the Hezbollah militant group." Today's opening does not mention Hezbollah, the killing of its leader, or any group at all, and the word "militant" appears nowhere in the article. A reader today does not learn that the bombing followed Israel's killing of a Hezbollah leader, that a group calling itself Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility, or that Iran was suspected.
