The spokesman for the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas. As of October 6 2023, the opening called it "the military wing of the Islamist Palestinian organization Hamas." The word is gone from the whole article today; the opening now calls it only "the military wing of Hamas." A reader today learns Hamas's name, and not that the opening once named it an Islamist organization.
