The 2009 Ibrahim al-Maqadma Mosque strike or massacre of Ibrahim al-Maqadma Mosque occurred on January 3, 2009, as part of the 2008–2009 Israel–Gaza War when the Israeli Air Forces launched a missile and hit the Martyr Ibrahim al-Maqadma Mosque in Beit Lahia in the Gaza Strip during the evening prayers (Maghrib prayer).

This is an Israeli airstrike on a Gaza mosque during the 2008-2009 Gaza War, struck during evening prayers. Earlier snapshots said a commission's report found "there was no evidence that the mosque has been used to store weapons or that it was being used by Palestinian militants at the time." Today's opening carries no casualty count, no detail on who was praying inside, and no mention of that finding; militant survives 3 times in the body. A reader today does not learn that an official inquiry found no evidence the mosque was used by militants or to store weapons at the time of the strike, nor that at least thirteen people, six of them children, were killed.
