A 2002 suicide bombing outside a clothing and toy store on King George Street in Jerusalem killed three Israeli civilians and injured 86. Through October 2023 the opening said the Palestinian militant organization al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack. Today that sentence is gone from the article entirely, and the opening no longer names any group. A reader arriving now learns three people were killed and 86 injured, not which organization claimed the bombing.
