Nayef Hawatmeh heads the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a Marxist Palestinian organization. Through 2020 the opening stated that "Israel blames the DFLP for the 1974 Ma'alot massacre, and so will not permit him to enter the Palestinian territories." Today the opening says only that he is a Jordanian politician who heads the DFLP, and the word massacre appears nowhere in the article. A reader today does not learn that Israel holds his organization responsible for the 1974 Ma'alot massacre, the reason Wikipedia once gave for his travel restriction.
