㉓ Reviewed in the sweep
Robert (Boris) Bitker was a military commander of the Zionist paramilitary group Irgun. Through October 2023 the opening noted he was also involved in the case of Zvi Frenkel, an Irgun militant who had killed an Arab in an act of retaliation using a gun he held illegally. Today's opening states only that Bitker "was a military commander of the Zionist paramilitary group Irgun," with the Frenkel case gone, though militant survives once elsewhere in the article. A reader today does not learn that Bitker's record included the case of an Irgun militant who killed an Arab in an act of retaliation.
