The word "bin"/"ibn" or "binti"/"binte" means 'son of' or 'daughter of', respectively. Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned ( ) is a Muslim scholar and the current Grand Mufti of Brunei .1 As a Grand Mufti, he is the most senior and most influential Sunni Muslim religious and legal authority in the nation. He was appointed by the Sultan.2 He is one of the non-ministerial office holders (as of 22 October 2015, it is considered a ministerial post) in the Cabinet of Brunei .3
