Ali Khan Abro ( urdu علامه علي خان ابڑو): was the famous scholar and educationist from Sindh who wrote the Sindhi translation of Quran and intended to give the Qur'an a practical contemporary interpretation also wrote separate translation for non Muslims from the request of Sindh 's great freedom fighter Maulana Taj Mohammad Amrothi . He got earlier education from Sindh Madrasatul Islam and got first position in matriculation from Bombay University . He got religious education from Hyderabad where he attained mastery over the Arabic and English languages. After completion of education he started working as a lecturer. He wrote many books on different social and literary topics. He was father of renowned short story writer Jamal Abro , and grandfather of researcher and journalist Badar Abro.1
