The flowers are borne singly on a tall stem with a whorl of small leaves just below the flower; the flower is 3-8 cm diameter, with 5-8 red, white or blue petal -like tepals . This is a collage of Anemone coronaria (calanit in Hebrew ) of various colors , all found on the same field in Israel . The Anemone coronaria comes in shades of red , pink , purple , blue and white . However, the most common color is red.3
