Baladullah was an African-American Muslim community of approximately 100-400 people outside of Fresno, California , United States, in the Sierra Mountain foothills. It was founded in the mid-1990s by Kashmiri immigrant Shaykh Gilani , founder of Muslims of America . The community's school was a charter school run by GateWay Academy (who ran 13 other California school sites), whose charter was revoked. As of 2002, the community was described as dissolving, with "everything must go" signs being posted.1
