It’s main area activity before the first Lebanon war was the Jordan Valley. Until the withdrawal from Lebanon in 2000 the regiment set up multiple successful outposts and operation, including piercing operations beyond the red line resulting in the elimination of four terrorists who later earned the nickname "turmeric 3. The Granite Regiment received the Chief Of Staff (Ramatkal) Citation for its activities, especially during Operation Defensive Shield in Jenin. During the operation the battalion participated in arrests in Tulkarm, the Balata refugee camp, Nur, Nablus, the refugee camps in Ramallah and Amaary Jenin.3
