He succeeded the 39th Dai Ibrahim Wajiuddin to the religious post. Syedna Hebatullah-il-Moayed-Fiddeen was born in 1713 and was educated by his father, Ibrahim Wajiuddin. He became Dai in 1756 (1168AH) at the age of 43. His period of Dawat was from then until his death at the age of 68. During his tenure, a group of dissidents called Hibtiyas emerged led by Ismail bin Abdur-Rasool and supported by Ismail's son Hebatullah. Syedna Hebatullah had two sons Syedi Shamsuddin and Syedi Qamruddin. Syedi Shamsuddin married the daughter of Syedi Khan and Syedi Qamruddin married daughter of Miya Saheb Yusuf bin Faizullah.1
