Kfar Yedidia ( , lit.1 Yedidia Village) is a moshav in central Israel . Located in the coastal plain and covering 3,000 dunams , it falls under the jurisdiction of Hefer Valley Regional Council .2 In 2006 it had a population of 589.3 Planned by Rikard Kaufman , the moshav was founded on 9 April 1935 by immigrants from Germany .4 It was funded by Jews in Alexandria in Egypt , and was named after Philo of Alexandria (also known as Yedidia). 32°20′44.52″N 34°53′58.2″E  /  32.3457000°N 34.899500°E  / 32.3457000; 34.8995005
