He was chair of the Lobby for Jerusalem, the Lobby for Strengthening the North and Periphery, and the Lobby for Strengthening the Ethiopian Community . Yogev announced on 15 January 2020 that he would be leaving politics after it was announced that he would be placed 11th on the Yamina list for the 2020 Israeli legislative election , while newcomer Sarah Beck was placed ahead of him.
