Yakir is a modern orthodox community full of educated professionals that prides itself with the great services it offers to its residents including synagogues (Sephardic, Yemenite, Youth and Central Minyanim), library services for the whole family, a Social Hall that holds 300 people comfortably it can be rented out for private or public events like a Bar Mitzvah or a Wedding, a Second Hand Clothing Store, Mail Services, and Grocery Store, all for the resident’s easy accessibility. Child care services, a center from 3 months to 3 years with very dedicated and warm staff. There are 5 kindergartens that provide a solid comprehensive program until school. Yakir supplies the local and surrounding communities with a first rate state run religious elementary school, 1-6th grade. Bnei Aikva is the youth group provides after school social activities. Children can participate in other after school activities like basketball, tennis, dance, judo, music, arts and crafts.
