Yossi Shain

September 21, 1956 in Israel) is an academic specializing in international relations , comparative politics and diaspora politics . Yossi received his PhD from Yale in 1988. He formerly headed the political science department at Tel Aviv University (located in Israel ). From 1999-2003, he was the "Goldman Visiting Professor of Government" at Georgetown University (located in Washington DC , United States ). At present he holds a dual-appointment at both Georgetown University and Tel Aviv University.
