A Palestinian suicide bombing was carried out on Gaza Street, Jerusalem on January 29, 2004. A Palestinian bomber detonated an explosive belt on an Egged bus #19 traveling between the two campuses of Hadassah Medical Center. Eleven passengers were killed and over 50 people were wounded, 13 of them seriously.

A Palestinian suicide bomber killed eleven passengers and wounded over fifty on a Jerusalem bus in January 2004. Through 2010 the opening said 'Both the Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades and Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack,' naming the bomber as a 24-year-old Palestinian policeman. Today the opening names neither group, though martyr survives three times elsewhere in the article. A reader today learns the casualty count and not which organizations claimed responsibility for the bombing.
