The Tyre headquarters bombings were two suicide bombings against Israeli military headquarters in Lebanon that killed 104 Israelis, among the worst single losses in IDF history. As of October 2023 the opening's short description called them a Terrorist attack in Lebanon. Today the short description reads Dual suicide attacks against Israeli troops in Lebanon, and the word terror is nowhere left in the article. A reader today learns these were suicide attacks, not that Wikipedia's own description once called them terrorist.

Terrorist attack in Lebanon The Tyre headquarters bombings were two suicide bombings against the Israel Defense Forces ' headquarters building in Tyre , Lebanon , in 1982 and 1983. The blasts killed 103 Israelis and 46–59 Lebanese, wounding 95 people and were some of the worst losses ever for the IDF.1 The second attack occurred in November 1983 and was attributed to Hezbollah.
