Abdul Wahab Hasbullah (31 March 1889 – 29 December 1971) is one of the founders of the Nahdlatul Ulama .1 He also initiated the usage of newspaper for dakwah , with the establishment of the newspaper of Nahdlatul Ulama, Soeara Nahdlatul Oelama .2 He also created the lyrics for the anthem of Nahdlatul Ulama, Ya Lal Wathon, in 1934. He was declared as a national hero on 7 November 2014 by President Joko Widodo .3 He was the father of Mundijah Wahab , the current Mayor of Jombang .
