Dan Bus Cooperative is an Israeli bus company based in the Tel Aviv and Gush Dan metropolitan area.1 It has local bus service as well as some intercity bus service connecting the Tel Aviv area to other near-by parts of the country such as Samaria and Jerusalem . Dan provides bus service six days a week. From Friday afternoon until after Sunset Saturday night, service is suspended in observance of the Jewish Sabbath , as required by Jewish and Israeli law. Dan buses run until approximately 1:00 A.M. and resume service in the early morning hours.2 As of May 2005, a single ticket price within the city of Tel Aviv costs NIS 5.20, a multiple-ride pass (a "Kartisiya") costs NIS 41.60, and an unlimited montly pass costs NIS 196.00. v t e v t e3
