Taga grew up through the ranks at Netanya, he played throughout the youth system and currently turns out for the first team as well as the Israel national under-21 football team .2He made his first team debut for them in 2006.3At the year 2007 Amiya Taga changed his name from Amir Taga to his present name, a name that was given to him as a child and was re-named during the years. "Amiya" in the Amharic language means "a child".4
