Masjid Abdul Hamid Kampong Pasiran , or Abdul Hamid Kampong Pasiran Mosque ( Jawi : مسجد عبدالحميد كامڤوڠ ڤاسيرن) is a mosque in Novena , Singapore . Built in 1932 in an area then known as Kampong Pasiran to replace a surau, it serves the needs of office workers around Newton and Novena . Before April 2002, it had a capacity of about 300 people. The mosque was demolished, rebuilt, and reopened on 24 October 2022. The new mosque building, built at a cost of $2 million, has a capacity of 600 people. "Bangunan baru cermin kemodenan" [New building to mirror modernity]. Bagi mencerminkan sejarah masjid yang didirikan ketika perkampungan Kampong Pasiran masih wujud dalam 1932, (To reflect the history of the mosque that was built when the village of Kampong Pasiran still existed in 1932) ... bangunan baru masjid akan berupaya menampung sekitar 600 jemaah, berbanding 300 yang boleh ditampung masjid lama yang hanya setingkat ( the new mosque building will be able to accommodate around 600 worshipers, compared to the 300 that can be accommodated in the old mosque which only has one floor) ...
