Mesri Mosque ( Persian : مسجد مصری ; Arabic : مسجد مصرية ) is a Shi'ite mosque , located in Esfahan , in the province of Isfahan , Iran . The mosque was built in 1061 AH (1650/1651 CE ), during the Safavid era. In the mihrab there is an inscription in Nastaliq script, written by Mohammad Reza Emami , a calligrapher . The mosque was added to the Iran National Heritage List on 3 March 1937, administered by the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Iran .
