As of 2015 , Israel ranks 19th among 187 world nations on the UN's Human Development Index , which places it in the category of "Very Highly Developed". Israel also has one of the highest life expectancies at birth in the world. However, Israel still suffers from poverty with roughly 20.5% of Israeli families living below the poverty line in 2008, most of them Israeli Arab and Haredi Jewish families. According to a 2010 study by International Living , Israel has the 47th highest standard of living in the world.1
