Ephraim Katzir

Ephraim Katzir was president of Israel from 1973 to 1978. Through 2005 the opening said his brother Aharon, a chemical physicist, was murdered in 1972 during the Lod Airport Massacre. Today the word massacre survives once elsewhere in the article, but the opening carries only his birth, death and years in office. A reader arriving now learns when Katzir served as president, not that his brother was killed in the 1972 Lod Airport Massacre.
