This article covers how Israeli law classifies different types of homicide. Through 2015 the opening said two particular characteristics of homicide in Israel are the terrorist attacks and (so called) honor killings. Today the opening has been stripped to bare murder statistics and a count of homicide types, and the word terror does not appear there though it survives twice in the body. A reader arriving now learns Israel's 2004 murder count and not that terrorist attacks were once named as one of the two defining characteristics of Israeli homicide.
