Najmul Hasan was a favourite disciple and son-in-law of Mufti Muhammad Abbas Shooshtri Al Jazairi (Ale Syed Neymutallah Jaizairi, a disciple of Allama Majlisi - author of "Biharul Anwaar"). Allama Mufti Muhammad Abbas was the teacher of Ayatollah Al Uzma Syed Hamid Husain (RA) (author of "Abqatul Anwaar") and also Ayatollah Syed Abul Hasan. Mufti Muhammad Abbas was also a contemporary of the author of Jawahir (a famous book on Fiqh). Famous poets Mir Anis, Dabir and Ghalib revered the Mufti. Najmul Millat studied all the higher faculties, including Fiqh and Usool in India , under the guidance of Syed Abul Hasan Abbu Sahib and Mufti Muhammad Abbas. Himself a Faqih of the first rank, he trained several Ulama like Seyyid Sibte Hasan, Seyyid Adeel Akhtar and Hafiz Kitayat Husain.1He will ever be remembered for his services to the Shias of Tibet , Burma , Africa , and countries in the West, rendered through the missionaries trained in his Jamia Nazmia , Lucknow .2He had two sons - Hujjattul Islam Maulana Syed Mohammad (author of the popular book "Shariatul Islam", translated as "Islam in the Light of Shiism") and Hujjattul Islam Maulana Syed Kazim.3Maulana Syed Mohammad was the founder of Madrasatul Waizeen .4Maulana Syed Kazim also had two sons - Late Allama Syed Mohd Sadiq (translator of Quran in Urdu, Nahjul Balagha, Sahifa Kamila, etc.), and Late Allama Syed Mohd Mohsin (translator of Quran in poetic form, Urdu).5Maulvi Syed Jawad Husain Abidi (Mumtazul Afazil from Jamia Nazmia ) was the son-in-law of Najmul Millat.6
